Key Employees

George Hersh has been active in the development of real estate projects for more than twenty years. He owns and operates several rental properties and is involved in a 300 acre multi-use real estate development that is in the build-out stage at this time. George also has extensive experience in building single-family residences.

George owns and is the CEO of GMJ Co., Inc., a holding company that, among other interests, owns and operates Topeka Transfer & Storage, a United Van Lines agent; Capital City Moving, a Mayflower agent; and Sports Associated, Inc., a specialty trucking company involved in the transporting and display of products from such companies as Suzuki, Yamaha and Ducati at trade shows around the country; Executive Aircraft Leasing, offering executive flights to all airports, large and small. Sports Associated, Inc. also operates a freight division and is involved in the warehousing business in various parts of the country. George recently completed the purchase of O’Neil Relocation Services, a United Van Line and Mayflower company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. with offices in northern California and Garland, TX.

Brian Hersh has been involved in the construction business for many years and has extensive experience in new construction, remodeling, and managing single-family, multi-family and commercial properties. Brian was responsible for the development and construction of Boomerang Lube and Wash.

Brian also owns and operates J.M. Company Unlimited, L.L.C., a full service gun and ammunition business located in Topeka, Kansas.

John Hersh brings a background in operations to the group. He was the President of Commonwealth Mortgage Company from 1993 - 2000 and Executive Vice President of Postal Savings and Loan at the time of its sale. He assisted in the development and implementation of the operating system of Boomerang Lube and Wash and oversees the daily operations.

Mark Feaster joined Hersh Development in June 2006. He has 30 years experience in management positions with various financial institutions. For over five years, he has been involved in the development business and participated in the closing of 500+ units of affordable and market-rate senior housing valued in excess of $47,000,000 in Kansas and Texas, of which approximately $40,000,000 represents affordable housing. Another 514 units were in the early development stages, representing an additional $50,000,000 to $53,000,000 in housing development. Mark was also involved in the development of approximately $1,000,000 in commercial office space.
